Day 1: We travel to Connecticut to historic Essex Station and board the Essex Steam Train, traveling through beautiful countryside along the Connecticut River Valley. We continue to the Mystic area, where we spend the night.

Day 2: We travel to Boston and enjoy a city tour that will acquaint us with all the historic landmarks. The afternoon is spent relaxing on a Boston Harbor Cruise. Learn about the past, present and future of the historic waterfront area. We then board an Amtrak train and enjoy the coastal ride from Boston to New Hampshire. Dinner is included tonight. (B, D)

Day 3: We ride the Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad as we view this impressive lake from the shore. We later cruise on the lake, enjoying a luncheon cruise on the M/S Mount Washington. Enjoy the views of three mountain ranges surrounding the lake and 365 islands. We spend late afternoon exploring the charming town of Wolfeboro. (B, L)

Day 4: Take a trip back in time as we enjoy magnificent views of Portland’s waterfront aboard the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad. Following time for lunch on your own in Portland, we enjoy our last cruise on the Lighthouse Lover’s Cruise. Sail along Maine’s rugged coastline and view the picturesque lighthouses including the Portland Headlight. A Maine lobster bake with entertainment completes our day. (B, D)
