Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Let the salt air and sea breezes lift your spirits as we travel to the New England coast on a new summertime getaway. We tour the Sheffield Island Lighthouse and get a feel for life as a lighthouse keeper as we tour this historic 1827 light and keeper’s cottage. Dinner is included today as we spend the night in Mystic, CT. (D)

Day 2: We travel to “Cranberry Country” and enjoy a tour through the cranberry bogs as we learn how they are harvested. We continue to Plymouth, where we have lunch on our own at their beautiful waterfront and give you time to view Plymouth Rock. Our guide will help us discover what life was like for a Pilgrim in the 1600’s. Our day is completed with a dinner cruise aboard the “Pilgrim Belle” as we enjoy the views of the New England coastline. (B, D)

Day 3: A full day of sightseeing awaits us as we visit Salem, where we view the famous House of Seven Gables, Gloucester and Rockport, one of New England’s most photographed locations at the tip of stunning Cape Ann. A highlight of today will be the schooner excursion aboard the tall ship sail “Thomas E. Lannon.” Help the crew hoist the sails or sit back and enjoy the ocean breeze and amazing sights. Tonight we dine at the Gloucester House Restaurant, serving the area’s freshest seafood. (B, D)

Day 4: We continue our tour down Maine’s southern coast, viewing lighthouses along the way as well as the sights of Kennebunkport, including the Bush estate. Our afternoon includes a Lighthouse Lover’s Cruise, featuring Maine’s rugged coastline and picturesque lighthouses. Dinner is included tonight. (B, D)

Day 5: We return home along New Hampshire’s coastline filled with memories of our summer New England getaway. (B)
