Tour Itinerary

Day 1: What better way to celebrate the holiday season than visiting the picture postcard town of Stockbridge, Massachusetts. Travel back in time, when life was simpler and the Christmas season centered around friends and family. We travel to Lenox, where we spend the next two nights at the historic Red Lion Inn. We join in the Caroling Luminaire Walk, caroling on a short walk through this picturesque town. Following an included dinner, we attend a holiday concert, celebrating the magic of the season. (D)

Day 2: We begin our day with a visit to the Norman Rockwell Museum. You can browse through the galleries and experience the largest collection of original art by America’s most beloved illustrator. The remainder of the afternoon will be free to enjoy Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas. This charming New England village is transformed for this one day to depict the 1956 Norman Rockwell painting Main Street at Christmas. Enjoy vintage autos, ice carvings, horse-drawn carriage rides, musical entertainment, town shops and restaurants. We later tour the Festival of the Trees, viewing over 100 uniquely decorated trees at the Berkshire Museum. Dinner is included tonight. (B, D)

Day 3: We depart our New England village this morning and travel to Hyde Park, NY and tour the home of former President Franklin Roosevelt. The mansion is specially decorated for the holidays and gives us a glimpse into how the First Family celebrated Christmas. We return home early evening with fond memories of our Berkshire holiday getaway. (B)
