Tour Itinerary

Day 1: We travel to New York’s Hudson Valley. After lunch on your own in Kingston, we relax aboard the Rip Van Winkle as we cruise the Hudson River past the estates and villages that dot the Hudson. We spend the night in Albany, where we relax over dinner. (D)

Day 2: We journey through the rugged Adirondack Mountains aboard the North Creek Railroad on a domed train car for a scenic view of the cities along the Hudson. After lunch on your own in North Creek Village, we visit Wilson Castle for a tour of this 1867 authentic English Manor. Dinner is again included tonight. (B, D)

Day 3: A morning cruise on Squam Lake, where the movie “On Golden Pond” was filmed, begins our day. We then travel on the Conway Scenic Railway and enjoy views of New Hampshire’s White Mountains. Enjoy your boxed lunch enroute. The remainder of the afternoon is spent in North Conway Village, be sure to stop in at Zeb’s Country Store. (B, L)

Day 4: We travel into Maine and stop in Freeport to visit the original LL Bean Store and have lunch on your own. We then tour Boothbay Harbor and discover the rocky shores, quiet coves and beautiful coastal roads along the scenic region. We then board our final train, the Downeaster’s Maine Coastal Trek, as we ride the rails from Saco through the coastal cities of Maine. Dinner is included tonight. (B, D)

Day 5: We depart for home filled with the memories of our exciting week in the Northeast. We return home early evening. (B)
