Tour Itinerary

Day 1: We travel to lovely Cape Cod to celebrate the 100th birthday of one of our country’s most beloved Presidents, John F. Kennedy. We arrive late afternoon in West Yarmouth, our home for the next three nights. Dinner is included tonight. (D)

Day 2: Discover “Kennedy Country” in the hub of Cape Cod. The tour includes the Kennedy Memorial, Hyannis Waterfront District and the Hyannis Port neighborhood of the Kennedy Compound. Also visit the Kennedy’s Church, St. Francis Xavier, site of many of the family’s weddings. We later depart for scenic Martha’s Vineyard, where we tour the island to view the famous gingerbread houses, Island Tabernacle, Oak Bluffs and the charming community of Edgartown. Many facts about the Kennedys will be included. A delicious dinner concludes our day. (B, D)

Day 3: A celebration of the life of JFK would not be complete without a visit to his hometown of Boston. Our tour comes to life with sites and facts about this famous Massachusetts family, with John Kennedy’s birthplace and childhood home, “Honey” Fitz’s political ambitions, Rose Kennedy’s childhood and even the Omni Parker House, where JFK proposed to Jackie. We then enjoy a wonderful birthday celebration and luncheon aboard the Spirit of Boston. This cruise includes music from the JFK era, views of Boston Harbor Islands and even birthday cake. Our final stop is the JFK Library & Museum, complete with interactive exhibits, Presidential artifacts and video presentation. We return to Hyannis, where you enjoy dinner on your own (B, L)

Day 4: Return to Camelot by viewing President Kennedy’s and Jackie’s close association with the City by the Sea, Newport, RI. Sights include St. Mary’s Church, where the couple was married and attended Mass, Newport Country Club, The Newport Reading Room on historic Bellevue Avenue, Bailey’s Beach where the President would go for his morning swim, and Hammersmith Farm, Jackie’s childhood home and also known as the Summer White House. Our final stop is Brick Marketplace, located on beautiful Newport Harbor. Take time for lunch on your own in this beautiful seaside marketplace, filled with shops, attractions and restaurants. We return home early evening. (B)
