Day 1: We travel through the New York Adirondack Mountains enroute to the colorful Balloon Festival in the Lake George area. We first travel to Hyde Park, NY and have a special luncheon at the Culinary Institute of America (CIA). Enjoy a delicious meal prepared by the students of America’s premier culinary school. We also tour Springwood, Franklin Roosevelt’s home and America’s first Presidential Library. We continue to Lake George and enjoy an included dinner at a popular local restaurant. (L, D)

Day 2: We travel to Saratoga Springs and discover the “Spa Resort.” Get your camera ready for the picturesque village filled with Victorian architecture and gardens. Hear all about the historic race track, famous residents and more. Next, we set sail aboard the largest cruise ship on Lake George and enjoy a scrumptious hot and cold lunch paired with live music. We then attend the Adirondack Balloon Festival. Take a stroll around and see the many different crafters and entertainment available at the festival. Then get ready for the spectacular Balloon Flight at sunset over the picturesque Adirondack Mountains. (Weather permitting) (B, L)

Day 3: We depart the Lake George area this morning enroute to charming Cooperstown, where we tour the Baseball Hall of Fame. We enjoy an included lunch this afternoon and give you some free time to explore Cooperstown before continuing on to Poughkeepsie where we spend the night. (B, L)

Day 4: We continue into the Catskill Mountains where we board the Rip Van Winkle Flyer for a wonderful train ride through the East Branch Valley into the Catskill Mountains with breathtaking views of the fall foliage. We return home in the evening filled with memories of our balloon adventure. (B, L)
