Day 1: Travel with Conestoga Tours on a new and fun tour that will highlight what life was like in the wild west while only traveling to Ohio. We arrive in Wilmington, our home for the night, before visiting Bonnybrook Farms for dinner followed by a wagon ride. Located on a 350-acre working farm, Bonnybrook Farm contains ruins of pioneer homes along a deserted stone wagon road. (D)
Day 2: We depart Wilmington this morning en route to Fort Ancient, Ohio’s premier Museum of Native American History. During our tour, our guide will explain the heritage and highlight the 18,000 feet of earthen walls. We will float down the Little Miami River on a non-capsizable raft, along the way having lunch on the river banks as we enjoy the glorious scenery. Tonight, we attend Tecumseh, The Ultimate Outdoor Drama Experience. Enjoy dinner before our performance which has been labeled as one of the most dazzling dramas in the region. (B, L, D)
Day 3: We visit Dogwood Pass, a historic replica of an old west mining town. Step back in time as reenactors recreate life in the 1800’s at the venue containing an old saloon, jail, bank, a barn house and more. We continue to Zanesville to witness the famed sculptor Alan Cottrell work in his studio. This is the world’s largest bronze sculpture exhibition. Tonight, we depart for dinner along with country music entertainment. (B, D)
Day 4: We visit the popular Dickinson’s Cattle Ranch, a working Texas Longhorn Cattle Ranch. Our visit includes a riding tour on one of the rugged ranch buses for a closeup view of the cattle herds along with lunch at the ranch. We return home early evening. (B, L)
