Day 2: Rise and shine, have breakfast and then travel through the unique adventure of 300 years of American history captured within 254 acres of indoor and outdoor historical exhibits and shops at the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village. Founded by Henry Ford in 1929, the museum and village depict the sweeping changes that transformed America into a dynamic industrial society. We continue to the charming Bavarian-like town of Frankenmuth, where we enjoy a delicious dinner. (D)
Day 3: The morning is free to explore Frankenmuth, known for its famous Christmas store, before we continue to Mackinac Island aboard the ferry and the luxurious Island House for two memorable nights. Following a delicious dinner, enjoy free time strolling along the enchanting village streets. (D)
Day 4: We’ve included breakfast and a captivating guided tour of the island and Fort Mackinac on a horse-drawn carriage. The magic continues as we enjoy the famous buffet lunch at the Grand Hotel. The bountiful buffet extends over 100 feet in length! Your afternoon is free to explore the shops and relax on the Island House porch with a favorite cocktail before dinner. (B, L, D)
Day 5: We depart Mackinac Island this morning and travel to Holland and enjoy the activities of the Tulip Time Festival, a celebration of our Dutch Heritage and the blooming of millions of tulips. We view the popular Tulip Parade, enjoying the floats and bands. Later we tour Veldheer Tulip Gardens to see over 2 million tulips in bloom. Dinner is included tonight along with an entertaining show. (B, D)
