Day 1: Our Nova Scotia and Bar Harbor adventure begins as we travel to Portland, ME. A delicious dinner concludes our day’s travels. (D)
Day 2: This morning we relax on a refreshing cruise of beautiful Casco Bay before arriving in Bar Harbor. You will have time for lunch on your own before boarding the CAT Ferry which will be zipping us between Bar Harbor and Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. Following dinner, we continue to Halifax for a two-night stay. (B, D)
Day 3: We spend the day touring Halifax where we view the lovely Victorian Gardens and learn the city’s role in the recovery operations of the Titanic. Time for lunch on your own in this bustling waterfront district, filled with shops, restaurants and spectacular views. We later tour the Citadel, Nova Scotia’s 19th century fort perched high on a hill overlooking Halifax Harbor. See the kilted 78th Regiment Highlander standing guard and the pageantry of a bygone era. Tonight be our guests at the Grafton Street Dinner Theatre where we relax over a delicious dinner and the sight and sounds of a lighthearted musical comedy. (B, D)
Day 4: We depart Halifax and travel to picturesque Peggy’s Cove, a fishing village on the eastern seaboard featuring the quaint lighthouse atop the wave-washed rocks. We continue to Lunenburg where we enjoy a walking tour of this maritime village. We continue to Yarmouth, where a savory dinner completes our day. (B, D)
Day 5: We return to Bar Harbor this morning aboard the CAT. There are plenty of on-board amenities such as a gift shop, food service, a movie lounge and a visitor’s service area. We arrive mid-afternoon in Bar Harbor and give you free time to explore this charming Maine town. A delicious dinner in Bar Harbor concludes our day. (D)
Day 6: See all the natural wonders of Acadia National Park on a guided tour that includes Cadillac Mountain, Otter’s Point, rocky cliffs and crashing Thunder Hole. We begin our journey home stopping in the Boston area for the night. Dinner is again included tonight at a popular local restaurant. (B, D)
Day 7: We depart for home today, but first tour Boston with a local guide that will introduce us to the famous landmarks of this historic city. Free time will be given at Quincy Market before we depart Boston. We return home in the evening. (B
