Day 1: We travel along scenic highways enroute to Asheville, located on the edge of the Smoky Mountains. We check into our accommodations for the next three nights and enjoy a welcome reception. This evening we enjoy a delicious dinner at a fine restaurant in the area. (D)

Day 2: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before we depart for the Folk Art Center, showcasing the talents of more than 800 of the South’s most gifted artists. After lunch on your own at the Grove Arcade, depart for Bryson City to board the Smoky Mountain Railroad for a scenic ride to the Nantahala Gorge. This evening we enjoy dinner and entertainment featuring the Blue Ridge Mountain Opry. (B, D)

Day 3: Following a continental breakfast, it’s off to the Biltmore Estate, former home of George W. Vanderbilt. Arrive at the Biltmore Estate Group Sales Ticket Office to begin the self-guided tour of this 255-room French Renaissance-style chateau. There will be plenty of time to tour the gardens and visit the gift shops and conservatory. You may choose to enjoy a buffet lunch on your own on the Estate at the Deerpark Restaurant or the Stable Café. After lunch, you will tour the Biltmore Estate Winery. Visit the gift shops and Antler Hill Village before departing the Biltmore Estate. Later enjoy a tour of Chimney Rock Park, followed by a cookout dinner in the Meadows. Your day will end with a peaceful twilight cruise on Lake Lure. (B, D)

Day 4: Following our continental breakfast, we depart for home with lasting memories of our trip to Asheville and the Biltmore Estate. (B)
